Caravan

Our caravans are located in the front two areas of the Park, with just a short walk to the SPAR convenience store, pizza takeaway, children's play area, Seatown Beach and The Anchor Inn. Many of the caravans closest to the front have partial sea views.

The Accommodation

Each caravan comes with a gated decking and picnic table, and parking for one car immediately next to your decking.

Inside you’ll find a comfortable living area. Layouts vary as seen in the photos, but all have a TV and four seater dining area, as well as cosy seating, bright windows and neutral décor. In the kitchen you’ll find a sink, fridge-freezer, hob, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, pots, pans, cutlery, crockery and cooking equipment.

Each caravan has one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a family shower room with toilet, sink and walk-in-shower. Most also have an additional en-suite toilet and sink off the double bedroom.

These caravans can sleep up to 4 people and 3 dogs. All bookings must contain one adult over the age of 18.

Bed Linen

Duvets and pillows are provided and you will need to bring your own bedding, or choose to hire one of our bedding packs. You’ll also need to bring your own towels and tea towels. Please note that where we have twin bedrooms, we do not offer the option to put single beds together to form a double/king, as they are not zip and link beds.

Within this caravan category, bed sizes in the master bedroom vary between double or king size. If you wish to specify the bed size you would like, you will need to "Choose Your Exact Accommodation" (see below). Bookings where the exact accommodation has not been specified, may be switched to another caravan at any point up until arrival, which may move the booking from a caravan with a double bed to a king size bed, or vice versa.

Choose Your Exact Accommodation

The photos in this listing show multiple different caravans with 2 bedrooms. You can either choose to book this type of caravan, and our system will allocate you one based on availability, or if you click through to the map you can view individual caravan photos and select a specific one, based on layout, location or en-suite preferences. There is a £25 charge for this. 

Dogs

Many of our caravans are dog-friendly, allowing up to 3 dogs. A complimentary dog welcome pack is included for all bookings with dogs. Please note, dogs are not permitted on sofas and beds, so you may wish to bring a dog bed from home, so they feel comfortable. We do keep a small number of caravans reserved as dog-free for those with allergies. If this is the case, you may be able to specify you require a dog-free caravan further on in the booking process, subject to availability. If you are unable to, please contact us and our Team will see what they can do.

Extras

Wifi can be purchased on arrival, either online via Paypal, or via the Park Reception. Further on in the booking process you will have the option to add extras to your booking, including Highlands End Leisure Club passes, extra flexibility cover or accidental damage cover. You can also hire bedding packs, travel cots or high chairs, which will be in your accommodation on arrival.

Check Out: By 9:30am 

The accommodation has a key box for a contactless check-in, so there is no need to visit the Park Reception upon arrival. We do not offer the ability to book early check-in or late check-outs. 

About the Park

Golden Cap is an award-winning Holiday Park in an incredible location just behind Seatown Beach on the Jurassic Coast. Guests can spend their days walking the South West Coast Path, enjoying bbqs on the beach, or watching the sun go down from the Anchor Inn’s cliffside beer garden. There’s also two more great pubs just a short walk away in the village of Chideock.

On-Park, you will find a SPAR Convenience Store, Golden Cap Pizzeria, a children's outdoor play area, a fishing lake, dog exercising meadow and nature trail.

If you want to venture further, it’s not far to drive (or get the bus) to Bridport, West Bay or Lyme Regis, all of which are characterful towns that are worth a visit. Bridport offers a thriving twice-weekly market, while Lyme Regis and West Bay have that bustling seaside feel, with fish & chip and ice cream kiosks you won’t want to walk past! 

 
Nearby attractions within a 15 minute drive include Seaside Sauna Haus, Lyme Regis Museum, Symondsbury Estate, Felicity's Farm Shop, Langdon Wood, West Dorset Forager, Colmer's Hill, Chideock Manor Gardens and Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre.

Guests staying at Golden Cap Holiday Park are welcome to visit and use the facilities at nearby Highlands End (3 mile drive). Charges may apply.

Securing your booking

A 10% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due 6 weeks before your arrival date. If there is less than 6 weeks before your arrival, the full balance will be required upfront. Any amendments to your holiday after the booking is completed will incur a £25 admin charge each time.

   Having been an owner of a caravan at Golden Cap a few years ago we were very happy to be back. We had a good view of the sea and the hill up towards West Bay etc. We enjoyed the walk down to the beach and the Anchor Pub for a drink on the cliff top .

   The park is one of the best we have ever been too… this is our 4th visit. we also loved the new pizzeria a great addition to the site. As always the caravan was lovely and clean, and the welcome pack is much appreciated.. it’s the little touches that make your stay special… Shop was well stocked had all the basics you might need… Communication is also very good and is very easy and makes your holiday run smoothly… All the gardens are well kept, I love walking through the park in the morning to the dog field.. It’s a really special park in a special location … keep up,the good work its a beautiful well kept site which is appreciated we love it xx

    We had a wonderful stay at Golden Cap and were really impressed with the caravan. The location was perfect, and it was lovely being so close to the beautiful Dorset coastline.
