Lovely location. Easy walk to all amenities (beach, Anchor Inn, Spar etc). Enjoyed the eclipse on the beach - great atmosphere. Nice that there’s only a small area for vans. Very quiet and tidy. Facilities were great.

Lovely site location and very friendly. The hardstanding touring pitches had good spacing and great facilities close by.

Very tidy and clean site. Showers and toilets for the hard standing pitches were excellent. A very well stocked shop and a pub and pizza place either on site or very close. Visiting curry van when the pizza place is closed. Water available on the pitch as was drainage if needed.

We have been to Golden cap many times and it’s the best place to stay! You can walk, sit on the beach, go for a swim, enjoy a sauna, eat in the local pubs, or just have a drink, you can eat pizza, shop for all your essentials. We absolutely love Golden cap.

Beautiful spot. Quiet clean friendly staff. Best part was the hedge filled with honeysuckle. My morning yoga smelled amazing

Really enjoyed our 3 night stay on the hardstanding pitch with our camper van. Thought the site was very well maintained and great setting. Convenient for showers and toilets, as well as washing up facilities. Lovely walk down to the picnic area and then the coast beyond. Love the Anchor Inn. We have friends that live in Chideock so it was great base for seeing them and venturing further afield along the coast.

Lovely well spaced, well maintained and level pitches. Toilet and shower facilities were first class and loved the piped radio which just made for a welcoming space. The dog shower was a brilliant bonus especially in the hot weather.

This is based upon our experience during the record breaking temperatures of June 2026; we had booked a 'hard standing' for our Campervan, staying with my wife and two labradors. The site is located within a stones throw from a pebble beach (passing only a mobile sauna and a pub). I can only believe that the site originally had more 'hard standing' spaces as the amenities (only available for those spaces) are very ample; they are very clean and tidy (including piped radio). There are various 'pop-up' food services and an on-site pizza place (over the weekend period) as well as an on-site Spar Store. There is electric car charging, a Childs play area, along with a dog walking field. You have the South Coast Foot Path passing the entrance.

Very friendly site.showers were very close & clean . Helpful to have a shop onsite for things you have forgotten .Sadly very bad weather so didn’t get to see much around us but obviously that’s nature for you . Recommend for a nice quiet retreat.
