Description

Our non-electric camping meadow is located at the side of our small Park, between the woodland copse that gives the Park its name, and the meandering River Bride. This flat meadow is popular with families and has space to spread out and let children play. You’ll be next to the off-lead dog exercising area and just a short walk from the facility block.

The Park is surrounded by trees, farmland and meadows and is located on the edge of the small village of Burton Bradstock, making it the perfect place for a relaxing camping holiday. Guests enjoy stargazing, birdwatching, walking and picnics right on the Park itself. Following the riverside path, it’s just a 10-15 minute stroll into the village, where you’ll find two of the best village pubs in the area. By taking a different route, you can be at Hive Beach in the same time, where you can hire paddle boards, enjoy a spot of fishing, relax on the beach, walk the South West Coast Path or enjoy a meal or coffee at the award-winning Hive Beach Café.

Choosing your pitch

Our meadow is an unmarked field and guests can choose to pitch wherever they like, provided you are 3 metres from your closest neighbours. You should easily be able to pitch next to friends/family, but we cannot guarantee this when we are fully booked.

For campervans who may vacate their pitch during the day, reserved signs are available to borrow from the Park Reception for a small refundable deposit, or you may use your own.

If you need to be close to a facility block for accessibility reasons, please contact us the day before your arrival and we will do our best to reserve a pitch that is appropriate, depending on availability.

Our meadow is suitable for:

  • Tents
  • Tent Box / Roof Tents
  • Small campervans
  • Motorhomes
  • Touring Caravans

Our meadow is NOT suitable for:

  • Further on in the booking process you will have the option to add extras to your booking, including Highlands End Leisure Club passes, an additional car or extra flexibility cover.

We booked a non-electric tent pitch. The area was charming, the facilities clean, bright, and easily accessible. The night sky was stunning (helped of course by the weather) and the pitch was spacious, level, and clear. A lovely, short walk to the Anchor Inn in the village (a bit pricey but very friendly), although after a visit realised we’d been charged twice for some drinks so check your bill more carefully than I did). The site is nicely positioned to access the superb Jurassic coast.

What an amazing campsite! The meadow field was absolutely perfect. We had a large, spacious pitch and it was just so calm and peaceful. The facilities were fantastic. The showers were always lovely and warm and we never had to queue for one. They were also immaculately clean, as were the toilets. There was always plenty of toilet roll. The dish washing facilities were also fantastic. We loved being able to store our ice packs in the freezer and the plug sockets also meant that I could blow-dry and straighten my hair!!! A real treat on a non-ehu camping holiday.

The campsite was so tidy, quiet and all the a.enities were spotlessly clean. Hive beach is in walking distance and we enjoyed evening meal at Hive Beach cafe. We had a wonderful long weekend in the area.

The feeling of peace & tranquility. Such a laid back friendly atmosphere from other campers. The shaded copse walk was a godsend for walking the dog out of the heat.

In no particular order: immaculate loos and showers, quiet field, the feeling that the site is well cared for, easy and pleasant walk to Burton Bradstock, friendly staff, natural surroundings.

3rd time at Granston Copse, first time in the Camping Meadow. We came again with family, daughter, son-in law , in-law and our grandson, plus two dogs. Difficult time as our son in law’s father died before he had a chance to use his new motor home. The quietness and space of the site was perfect for his mother, the river walks for her two dogs gave her time to relax and reflect. The walks into Burton Bradstock were perfect and the meals we had both in the Anchor Inn and The Three Horseshoes were fabulous . The site is perfect, ample space, excellent clean facilities, great staff, very friendly and wonderful woodland walks.

Really liked the relaxed feel of the site, the location, and the trees, shrubs and plants on and around the site. Very green. Loved the walk through the copse to the showers! Liked there being so many footpaths around the site and its proximity to Burton Bradstock. Facilities were clean. Liked the fact you could recycle most items rather than them going to landfill.
