Bronze Pod

Our glamping pods are located at the end of the Park, in the heart of the touring and camping area. You’ll have quick access to some great sea and countryside views, as well as the South West Coast Path, children’s play area and off-lead dog exercising meadow. 

Glamping truly is the best way to experience the outdoors, without the hassle of putting up a tent, or worrying about the weather. 

Our Bronze pods are a great intro to glamping for guests on a budget, or busy families who are planning to spend their time out exploring and just need a place to rest their head. They’re compact, cosy and back-to-basics, but for many guests they’re perfect.

The Accommodation

Outside you have gravel parking for one car immediately next to your pod, as well as a picnic table and a small decking area.

Inside you’ll find a small double bed, two small single beds and a sofa bed suitable for children, plus a fold-out dining table, lighting, heating and electricity. Water can be fetched nearby, and you’ll need to visit the facility blocks for toilets, showers and washing up.

These pods can sleep up to 4 adults and 2 children. All bookings must contain one adult over the age of 18.

Bed Linen

Duvets and pillows are provided and you will need to bring your own bedding (1 x double bed, 1 x double sofa bed & 2 x single beds), or choose to hire one of our bedding packs. You’ll also need to bring your own towels and tea towels. Please note that where we have twin bedrooms, we do not offer the option to put single beds together to form a double/king, as they are not zip and link beds.

The photos in this listing show an example of a pod of this type, and internally they are all identical. You can either choose to book this type of pod, and our system will allocate you one based on availability, or if you click through to the map, you can select a specific one, based on location preferences. There is a £25 charge for this. 

Dogs

Many of our pods are dog-friendly, and this particular type allows up to 2 dogs. Due to the size of the pods, it is up to owners to look at accommodation photos to decide if the space is suitable for their dogs. A complimentary dog welcome pack is included for all bookings with dogs. Please note, dogs are not permitted on sofas and beds, so you may wish to bring a dog bed from home, so they feel comfortable. There are no pods of this type designated as dog-free, so if you require accommodation that has never had a dog in due to allergy reasons, you will need to look at alternative accommodation types, such as different pods, caravans, apartments or lodges.

Extras

Wifi can be purchased on arrival, either online via Paypal, or via the Park Reception. Further on in the booking process you will have the option to add extras to your booking, including Leisure Club passes, extra flexibility cover or accidental damage cover. You can also hire bedding packs, which will be in your accommodation on arrival.

Parking

These pods have parking for 1 car. If you are bringing a second car, you're welcome to take it to the pod to load/unload but please park it in one of our car parks near the Park Reception, for the duration of your stay. 

Arrival & Departure 

Check In: From 4pm 

Check Out: By 9:30am 

The accommodation has a key box for a contactless check-in, so there is no need to visit the Park Reception upon arrival. We do not offer the ability to book early check-in or late check-outs. 

About The Park 

Highlands End is a multi-award-winning Holiday Park in an incredible location. On the Park is a range of facilities designed to keep the whole family busy. Martin’s Bar & Restaurant is open daily, with a hearty menu showcasing Dorset’s best local food and drink, as well as live music and children’s entertainment during peak holiday times. There’s a large sun-trap beer garden, and an outdoor play area, and inside there’s a soft play* for younger children too.

Next door is Highlands End Leisure Club, with a swimming pool, sauna and steam room, and outside, on a 9 acre course overlooking West Bay, you’ll find Dorset Foot Golf - our 18 hole course with obstacles - fun for the whole family! The Park is also a working farm, with alpacas and sheep. Please note Winter opening times vary and facilities maybe closed.

Walking distance from the bustling harbour of West Bay with kiosks, pubs and cafés, but also the quiet and dog-friendly Eype Beach. In the nearby town of Bridport you’ll find shops, restaurants and a thriving twice-weekly market as well as a long list of events throughout the year, ranging from well-known comedy acts at the Electric Palace, to the quirky Bridport Hat Festival. Highlands End is also perfectly situated between Weymouth and Lyme Regis, making both of these popular coastal towns an easy day trip.

Attractions within a 15 minute drive from the park include Symondsbury Estate, West Bay Discovery Centre, Bridport Museum, Colmer's Hill, Lyme Bay RIB Charter, Bridport and West Dorset Golf Club, Dorset Nectar Cider, Viking Village, Furleigh Estate Wine Tours, Palmer's Brewery Tours and Jurassic Journeys.

Securing your booking

A 10% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due 6 weeks before your arrival date. If there is less than 6 weeks before your arrival, the full balance will be required upfront. Any amendments to your holiday after the booking is completed will incur a £25 admin charge each time.

   We loved the camping field, the views were amazing. The facilities were also really nice and clean and never felt crowded etc. I would have liked a toilet a bit closer to the camping field but no issue (personal preference) We had a brilliant time feeding the alpacas and learning about them. We really enjoyed the pool too, the family fun session was really cool.
