Description

Our three safari tents are located on the edge of a large meadow, with easy access to a nearby water point and plenty of green space all around you. They are perfect for families who enjoy camping but hate putting up the tent and are sure to provide a unique and memorable camping experience!

Each tent measures 5 metres by 7 metres, with ample headroom throughout, and the thick canvas keeps the heat out during the summer, and in during the colder months.

The tents are sited on a raised wooden platform, meaning no soggy ground underfoot, and comes with your own decking area and outdoor furniture with cushions. There’s also an additional picnic table and fire pit, with a bag of logs provided. There is grass parking for one car immediately next to your tent.

Inside you’ll find lights and electric, plus a large sofa, coffee table, hanging clothes storage and dining table. There’s also a mini kitchenette with fridge, kettle and basic cutlery and crockery provided. The tents contain two separate sleeping areas for privacy – one with a king-size bed and one with two singles.

You’ll need to use the facility blocks for toilets, showers and washing up, either in the main area of the Park, or in a neighbouring meadow during high season.

Duvets and pillows are provided and you will need to bring your own bedding or choose to hire one of our bedding packs. You’ll also need to bring your own towels and tea towels.

This tent can sleep up to 4 people and 3 dogs. All bookings must contain one adult over the age of 18.

A complimentary doggy welcome pack is included for all bookings with dogs. Please note, dogs are not permitted on beds, so you may wish to bring a dog bed from home, so they feel comfortable. It is also worth noting that the deckings are not enclosed, and dogs are not permitted to roam the Parks off-lead, so you’ll need to secure them with a long lead or pen when they’re outside.

Sandyholme is a small, quiet Park, tucked away in a secluded village location on the edge of the Isle of Purbeck. The Park is surrounded by woodland and rolling fields, with very little passing traffic. Children can enjoy the play area and large playing field with football goals, and the ducks and wild birds from our small lake can often be found wandering throughout the Park. Just 5 miles from the coast at Ringstead Bay, you’re within easy reach of some of Dorset’s most famous and popular places to visit, including Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Weymouth Beach, Studland Bay and Old Harry Rocks. There’s also some incredible attractions nearby such as Monkey World, The Tank Museum and a range of places to visit in the historic county town of Dorchester.

Wifi can be purchased on arrival, either online via Paypal, or via the Park Reception. Further on in the booking process you will have the option to add extras to your booking, including extra flexibility cover or accidental damage cover. You can also hire bedding packs, travel cots or high chairs, which will be in your accommodation on arrival.
